Argentinian designer Panco Sassano boasts a wide repertoire of typographic styles for his efforts in branding, illustration and interior design. Bold poster fonts, elegant scripts and chunky serifs collide in a harmony reminiscent of late 1800s sign painters who worked strictly from memory and instinct. When it comes to tradition vs technology however, Panco thrives in the best of both worlds - showing agility and spontaneity for on-the-fly designs, and opting for digital assistance on projects that require more depth and planning. An equally diverse range of genres is present in his illustrative styles. From minimal icons to elaborate drawings and paintings, there’s a richness and depth to the work that gives us the sense of an artist that is constantly evolving and adding new tools to his bag of tricks. It’s really interesting to see what he does given plenty of room to let his imagination run wild. The bigger the space, the more room to be creative.
